At The Divine Destination Collection we believe travel transforms the traveller, our vision is to “pull back the veil” of a locale and expose our guests to the true magic of the destination. We also believe in leaving a place better for having visited.

With this purpose in mind, for our upcoming trip to Peru, we have partnered with two communities (one in Cusco, and one in the Amazon jungle) to bring them desperately needed supplies. We are accepting monetary donations to support these communities and will purchase the needed supplies locally in Peru. Needed supplies such as paint, school supplies, personal hygiene items, clothing, etc., which we will donate personally to each community during our trip.

Here is a little bit about the communities we are supporting on this trip:

LEARNING FOR HOPE –THE SAN JUDAS CHICO GIRLS’ HOME:

Located 10 minutes from downtown Cusco is the Hogar de Niñas San Judas Chico, a home to about 45 girls between the ages of 4 and 17. San Judas is a place for girls whose families are unable to properly take care of them, but more importantly, it is a safe, loving and protective home which helps provide these sweet, spunky, smart, loving and hilarious girls comfort and compassion as they grow. Many of the girls come from difficult backgrounds, and San Judas is all they have to call their own.

AMAZON COMMUNITIES:

Amazonia’s native populations have lived in the tropics for thousands of years.

Their lifestyles and cultures are well adapted to the environment they inhabit. And quite the contrary to some beliefs, their survival methods do not affect the environment. Their daily life comprises of methods of survival such as fishing, small-scale agriculture, hunting, and gathering.

Yet, there are many items available in our lives that the community people of the Amazon don’t yet have access to that could greatly improve their lives.

The more funds that we can raise, the more of an impact we are able to make on these communities. If you are able to support our efforts we would be truly grateful.
