“When we rounded the corner and saw the resort atop a hill surrounded by brilliant yellows, oranges and reds, I knew this was going to be a spectacular 4-day getaway. I have to say, not a detail was missed! From the hot cider greeting to the lovely gift in my room, the carefully thought out activities and perfect amount of free time… you truly delivered more than was expected!
You promised three things: luxury, adventure and spirituality. Well, there was no lack in any area. The resort was certainly luxurious, what with the gorgeous room having every ammenity I could ask for, the indoor to outdoor pool and hot tub (awesome in the cool fall air), and the food. The foood! Fabulous chefs, perfect wine pairings, wow. I loooove good food and I most certainly ate REALLY well! I have a new appreciation for “field to fork”.
Next was adventure… that’s what I was looking forward to most in Muskoka. And of course, you delivered and then some! The Mushroom Forray hike on the first day was incredible on such a beautiful day. The air was crisp and cool and the forest was magical. That’s where I started to get to know the others. I also chose the bird hike on another day and the Cranberry Marsh and wine tasting tour on another. So cool and so fun! I now have an affinity for cranberry and blueberry wine! Overall, I was impressed by the activity options you made available to us, depending on how adventurous we wanted to be. Boredom wasn’t even a possibility!
The best part of the trip for me was the new friendships I made… we laughed and laughed and laughed. The last night carving pumpkins, singing for hours around the campfire and on the bus all the way back to the resort was kind of like camp for grownups expect we ate a gourmet meal and the tent was a five star resort!
The spirituality part for me was being in nature, seeing deer by the side of the road, Krista’s workshop and connecting with others in joy and friendship. And everything we did, you two were there either smiling and making sure we had everything we needed, joining in the festivities, or graciously in the background taking care of the many, many small details we may never know it took to make the Muskoka trip the huge success it was. I love saying, “And then in Muskoka…” as I recall the memories. Thank you!”
