- Enjoy breakfast at leisure before we head to the airport for our flight north with Calm Air. Churchill awaits — a remote town accessible only by plane or train and known as the “Polar Bear Capital of the World.”
- Our Edge of the Arctic encounter begins at the Blueberry Inn, our exquisite home base for the next few days. Notice the stark beauty of the landscape: there are no trees here — on the Edge, we’re above the tree line!
- Relax with light refreshments in the magnificent lounge as you take in the sweeping tundra views, then head out where we’ll get up close and personal with historic Churchill. You might stop by the Post Office to collect a Polar Bear stamp in your passport while you are regaled with stories and insights about this fascinating northern community.
- This is an action packed, ‘let’s see it all’ journey. As evening light begins to glow across the tundra, we’ll gather for dinner featuring local flavors, drinks, and a touch of live northern hospitality. Then in expedition style, we head out for our beluga whale encounter on the Churchill River. Glide across calm waters by kayak or Zodiac and watch hundreds of friendly white whales swim alongside you. It’s a moment of pure joy and magic!
- And…let’s just keep that adventure coming…the night continues at a private yurt in the wilderness, where dessert and a warm drink await as we watch the skies for the northern lights. If the aurora dances tonight, it’s sure to be a sight that stirs your soul!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2026
- Enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out on an unforgettable rugged ride in our private 4×4 vehicles. Today we are trolling for wildlife along the coast…this is prime time for spotting Arctic foxes, hares, caribou, and even wolves along the rugged shoreline. With luck, we’ll glimpse the magnificent polar bear, waiting patiently for Hudson Bay to freeze so it can return to the ice for winter. Few places on earth bring you closer to such raw northern majesty.
- We weren’t kidding when we named this ‘The Edge’! We are on the edge of the Arctic, but are covering solid ground that envelops you in every opportunity to experience the awe of this place. After lunch, we’ll embark on our own private afternoon coastal boat charter. From the water, the Arctic world unfolds around you — playful belugas surf the waves while polar bears roam the rocky coast. This is the place to view nature’s theater, and we have front-row seats for the adventure.
- Back on shore, there’s free time to explore or take advantage of optional excursions such as a scenic heli-tour or e-biking adventure through the Churchill landscape.
- Guess who’s Coming to Dinner? This evening, gather for a memorable dinner at The Trader’s Table, where hearty local dishes are served in a warm and inviting setting. And in Divine style, we’ll be joined by Katie de Meulles, a Churchill local whose family has deep roots in the area. Katie will share stories of her Métis heritage and her family’s long history with the Hudson’s Bay Company for a soulful glimpse into the heart of this northern community.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2026
- After breakfast, we’ll stretch our legs on a refreshing morning walk to take in our final views of the tundra.
- At The Divine Destination Collection, giving back is part of every journey. We have been inspired by local organizations that are partnering to develop programs supporting peaceful coexistence between Churchill’s residents and its most famous residents — the polar bears. We’re proud to be among the first contributors to this meaningful initiative, helping ensure a sustainable future for both people and wildlife.
- Enjoy lunch at leisure before we make our way to the airport for our return flight with Calm Air to Winnipeg. As we lift off, we bid a wistful farewell to this extraordinary northern world — the landscapes, the wildlife, and the sense of wonder that has touched us so deeply.
- Back in Winnipeg, we’ll return to the Fort Garry Hotel for one last evening together. Tonight’s farewell dinner will be a chance to celebrate the memories we’ve made and the friendships we’ve formed on this remarkable journey.
