With COVID numbers going down in most of Canada, the US & UK, and vaccinations on the rise, the stars seem aligned to leave the world of virtual adventures behind for a while and get back to planning in-person travel.

From the pyramids of Egypt to the shores of the holy river Ganges, Divine Live and Online has helped us escape lockdowns and our socially-distanced existence with virtual travel adventures to fascinating locations around the world.

As spring arrived in Toronto, a third wave of COVID-19 came with it, and another stay-at-home order was issued. The idea of in person travelling felt almost impossibly far away as Allison Frame sat down to watch a first cut of the new Divine Destination Collection compilation video she had been working on with producer/storyteller Allyson Reid of Chockablock Media….

Two days earlier, the World Health Organization had deemed COVID-19 a global pandemic, but it didn’t really hit home until the 13th when the federal government asked Canadians to cancel all non-essential international travel, and schools closed in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, and New Brunswick…

From March of 2020 onwards most of us haven’t travelled farther than the neighbourhood grocery store or a friend’s front yard for a socially distanced chat.

“We were overwhelmed by the response to our virtual experiences this year,” says Divine Destination Collection co-founder Allison Frame. “We were so happy we could continue taking our fellow travellers on amazing adventures around the world that we decided to continue offering Divine Live and Online as a permanent part of our Divine Destination Collection – even after it is safe to travel again!”

Perhaps one good thing that has come out of the COVID-19 pandemic is the chance to reflect on how we live our lives and how we want to ensure our world can thrive and survive. “Since we can’t do a lot of travelling right now, it’s a good time to take a step back and see how travelling affects our world – especially how air travel contributes to climate change,” says Allison Frame, co-founder of the Divine Destination Collection….
